Last Week’s Games:

Wednesday, October 30 vs. Missouri Mavericks (6-0-0)
Lost 6-1: St. Charles took a 1-0 lead early in the second period on a goal from Kyle Kraemer but surrendered six-straight goals against the shorthanded Mavericks.

Friday, November 1 at Quad City Mallards (2-2-1)
Lost 6-1: In a game that was closer than the final score, the Chill racked up 63 minutes of penalties on 19 infractions and the Mallards took advantage with four power play goals in 12 chances, three of them with a two-man advantage. Tyler Barr (6-2, 215 lbs) highlighted the evening for St. Charles when he won his fight with Jordan Lane (6-8, 250 lbs).

Saturday, November 2 vs. Wichita Thunder (1-4-3)
Won 2-1 OT: The Chill held Wichita to just 23 shots and Steve Makway snapped a wrist shot past Thunder goalie Taylor Nelson at the 3:22 mark of overtime to send the Chill to their second win of the season; the other coming in a shootout.

This Week’s Games
Friday and Saturday, November 8 & 9 at Tulsa Oilers (1-5-2)
The Chill battle Tulsa for the first time in franchise history on back-to-back nights at the BOK Center and won’t play at The Family Arena again until November 15 and 16 against the Arizona Sundogs.


Chill Out… On The Ice

By the Numbers: scoring 3.0 goals-per-game but allowing 4.86… ranked 8th in CHL in goals (21) and last in goals allowed (34) with the largest goal differential in the CHL (-13)… 185 penalty minutes ranks 3rd in CHL… rank 6th on power play (4-34, 11.8%) and 8th on penalty kill (78.6%)… Chad Costello leads the Chill in points (4-5-9) and ranks 12th in the CHL… Anthony Pisano and Greg Brown lead all CHL players in penalty minutes with 37 and 33 respectively… Steve Makway ranks 6th among CHL defenseman with five points (2-3)…

Ice Pack: St. Charles has been dealing with injuries throughout the early part of the season. Forward Sean Muncy and defenseman Nielsson Arcibal currently sit on the 14-day injured reserve list while Steve Anthony remains on the 30-day injured reserve list. Leading scorer Chad Costello missed the Missouri game after taking a puck to the face in practice that required over 20 stitches and will wear a full cage

Roster moves: waived defensemen Dean Moore and Sean Fitzpatrick and forwards Matt Whitehead and Max Mobley; signed forward Phil Buschbacher and defensemen Zack Josepher and Tony DeHart
